R –v– Z – Operation Koblenz – Private Prosecution by major International Media Company for Fraud arising out of the alleged manufacturing of illicit set-top boxes. Allegations that loss to revenue to company circa £40 million plus. Private Prosecution also of Inland Revenue offences of Cheating the Revenue. R –v- O – Operation Hogsback (and Others) – Large scale Mortgage Fraud involving multiple parties. Charges brought under the Proceeds of Crime Act, Theft Act and Fraud Act.

R –v- A – Operation Vara – Client is involved in a Conspiracy to smuggle Gold into the UK from Dubai via Frankfurt defrauding the Revenue of over £15 million of Vat and Import duty on approximately £100 million amount of gold.

R -v-H – Large, multi-defendant international mortgage fraud and money laundering involving individuals and companies both in this and three other jurisdictions.

R -v- S – Operation Rize – The client, a former employed director of a safe depository was charged with ‘money laundering’ offences pursuant to the Proceeds of Crime Act. The case remains the subject of national media interest. (VHCC Case)

R –v- A – Operation Consul – Investigation by HMRC regarding MTIC Fraud. The case involves a detailed web of companies trading in luxury cars across Europe with the fraud estimated to be in excess of £45 million.

R -v- X – Education Fraud involving Conspiracy to assist Unlawful Immigration of at least 574 students to UK educational establishments and associated allegation of Money Laundering regarding £2.75 million found under the bed. We are representing on the Confiscation Proceedings where the benefit figure is alleged to be £10 million.

Operation Arnulf – R –v- N – Large scale investigation and prosecution of organised Armed Robberies in the South of England. Client is one of nine defendants involved in a huge Conspiracy involving 29 robberies targeting mainly retail jewellers. Case split into two trials owing to size of prosecution. (VHCC Case)

R v X –- Large police operation where a group of in excess of 10 defendants were charged with over 30 counts of rape, sexual assault and false imprisonment arising from nearly 40 complainants. The case involved surveillance of the suspects by police who were suspected of trafficking young females for sex.

R – F: High profile professional footballer charged with a multi handed Gang Rape that was widely reported upon in the media. Acquitted of all charges at the Crown Court

R –v- H: International Professional Snooker player charged with widely publicized sexual offences against two separate complainants. Acquitted of all charges at the Crown Court following successful defence investigations that proved “kiss and tell” circumstances

R-v- J – Old Bailey murder case involving a London Youth affected by mental health issues, who stabbed a victim to death with a single blow of a knife to the neck. Defence investigations abroad, produced several previously unknown witnesses, which succeeded in persuading all parties to reduce the charge from Murder to Manslaughter. This case required the instructing of three different forensic Psychiatrists to obtain the necessary accurate diagnosis. Client is currently receiving necessary treatment at a secure hospital

R –v- M: Operation Vivace – The client was the brother of one of the 21/7 bombers, who was alleged to have ‘psyched‘ up the bombing team to commit the offence. His sentence was successfully reduced from 17 years imprisonment to 13 by the Court of Appeal. (VHCC case)

R –v- A: Operation Overamp – The client was charged with attending a camp site where terrorist training was being provided, and possessing material likely to be useful to someone preparing an act of terrorism.  This case was widely publicized as the “Osama Bin London” case. (VHCC case)

R –v- A: Operation Mermant – Widely publicised raid as part of a large scale counter-terrorism investigation at the Finsbury Park Mosque in London. The client was one of the original arrested parties linked to the “Ricin Plot”. The client was eventually allowed to return to his country of origin when all investigations into the allegations against him were discontinued.

R-v- P – Client arrested under the Terrorist Acts for taking photographs of key buildings in London. Suspected of intelligence gathering as part of terrorist surveillance. The investigation was eventually discontinued following defence representations on the rationale behind the arrest.

R –v- Q:  Complex Cyber crime computer hacking case involving estimates of loss in the hundreds of thousands. This case involved the instruction and reliance upon Forensic Computer Experts.  The client was acquitted of all charges at the Crown Court.
